Position Title: Electrical Engineer

EMPLOYER’S NAME: SI Bulldogs (Doing Business as Richard Allen of Long Island)


POSITION DUTIES: 

  1. Perform engineering tasks by operating computer-assisted design software and equipment
  2. Design, implement, maintain, or improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products or systems for commercial, industrial, or domestic purposes
  3. Direct or coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation or testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements. 
  4. Work on a wide range of tasks including data collection, data analysis, graphics, maps, and data presentation, and reporting on development, preparing engineering related calculation and developing drawing visual aids related to electrical and mechanical engineering.
  5. Prepare specifications for purchases of materials or equipment.
  6. Review existing electrical engineering and identify any alterations as needed.
  7. Investigate or test vendors’ or competitors’ products.
  8. Lead, train, develop and manage team of electrical engineers/electrical engineering technicians.
  9. Follow through a sale to build, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, retain or repair should any issues arise.
  10. Collaborate with head management to conceptualize and estimate costs and follow-up on expenditures
  11. Develop and maintain budgets, prepare specifications, order material, review and approve drawings, prepare and negotiate contracts, manage and communicate forecasts and schedules, and provide direction and support for interdisciplinary team to successfully complete major operational projects responsible for conformity to engineering standards or practices.
  12. Communicate with internal department and external clients to determine their requirements and meet their needs in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
  13. Direct or coordinate installation, maintenance, support, documentation, or testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, or clients’ requirements, prepare administrative, tech or statistical reports.


SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED
: At least 3 years managerial experience in supervising operation and maintenance of electronic equipment as well as collaborating with head management to address changing needs of business. 


RATE OF PAY:  
$131,290 per year
